TMBG, part 2..and 3

And here the two other shorts I did for TMBG.
I'm putting them both together because I always thought cartrip was a little subpar. Way too rushed, but, it still turned out OK.
I really liked doing nine bowls of soup though. That was the first of the series I did,and the group was just SO easy to work with, so fun and so nice. Also, which is not common for clients, they actually knew what they were talking about in terms of stiry and animation.
I LOVE These guys!

It's been a while, but it's nice to see them again.
Here is my favorite of them

Have a GREAT Monday.

Where the wild things go

Hey hey hey!
I've been founding it increasingly more difficult these days to do a sketch of the day that is of quality. Just too much work going on, too much other things as well, ( all GOOD things too (^_^)), so, I might , once again, slow down and, maybe turn this into a sketch of the week.

On a different note.
I went to see Cloverfield yesterday.
Before the movie, I was trying to not read any of the reviews, nor hear anything from the movie, which I found really really hard to do if you have any connection with the internet.
Still, I managed to get in there and only know it was a monster movie and the statue of liberty gets beheaded pretty early on.

I must say that I was very pleased with the movie. I actually liked it a lot. I thought it was much more a character movie than an actual monster movie. We do see the monster, we don't get cheated on that ( NOT at all in fact), but I enjoyed how it all focused on the character's development. Even if at some times, i would wonder why this decision or this one had been made, it proved to be a solid good, SHORT film.

One thing though..the first ten to fifteen minutes of the movie are hard to get into. The shakiness of the camera is pretty strong. It keeps going on throughout the movie, but the first part is really the hardest. Once you get over that, you're good.

Cheers.
Have a GREAT day!

Friday mini sketch

These days, I'm just SO short on time that I really do a bare minimun of the sketch of the day..but, it sometimes turns out to be an interesting experiment, if nothing else.
Anyhow...
Have a GREAT Friday and weekend everybody.

Cheers

Friday animation...Back to the basics

Click on this LINK

I missed doing actual animation and I thought I would practice a bit, and someone had just asked me about the Door piece I did a while back, so I figured I'd do a retake on that.
It's a Work in Progress. I'm thinking that if I work on it here and there throughout the year, I could have another short by August or so.

Anyhow, have a Great Friday and a great weekend.
Cheers.

Blue Tuesday

for a larger version of it( in case anybody wants to take a closer look), here's a link

An interesting thing, technically, with this one. I did it almost all in flash.
I came to a point where Flash kept crashing on me( I counted 17 times on Sunday) because, I'm assuming, I had too many points. Especially on the Octopus part, which is why it's a lot barer than the rest.
I guess there are some limits to what flash can do.
I had to finish it up in photoshop, and that means, adding the light rays in the middle part. Not that I couldn't do that in flash on a regular drawing, but here, it just wouldn't take it anymore!

Friday sleeper

Just a quick one to wish you a GREAT Friday and let you know what you already know. I'm swamped right now, and will be for quite a bit. This time, there will truly be a lot less sketches of the day for a while.
BUT, I'll be back!

Cheers.
