This is a VERY simple step by step for this image.
The whole thing took me about an hour and a half, with a good half an hour/45 minutes JUST on the end part of meshing the couple with the environment.
The beginning part, getting the background painted was actually the fastest because I was ONLY thinking about values. What I mean by that is that I was not trying to do a clean drawing( which slows me down to a crawl when I try) and JUST looking at how values work together to make you believe you seen green, blue, purple etc etc when all it really is you are looking at are grays.
I love that.
The more I do, the more I learn about that.
