for the hell of animation
Sarah, one of my co workrs and I were talking the other day about what was hard in animation.
I was telling her that doing two or three characters interacting was especially hard for me.
And she sort of challenged me to do more than that.
So, I did six of them, in my very own peculiar style.
It's nothing very funny, but my god, what a good exercice!
I tried to add some follow through on that, But i'm getting tired, and it doesn't look all that good.
Still, It's aninteresting little piece!
you can see it
HERE
Ah!
Also.
It's a four megabyte file, and there's no preloader.
Justin case you have a slow connection!

Booh!
Ok, ok...this is a very crummy sketch... But it's punch packed with fun characters that should make up for the lack of sense!
Tadadada!
needless say, once again..i'm busy as ever, and my bike's got a flat, our dog has leakage problems, the coffe was missing this morning, people that should've called me by now haven't called yet( hurry up dude!), etc etc...
oh.... what a fun day!
Love this!

on the road again
ok... the image and the comments have no relation, but...
I was reading on Yahoo news yeterday, an article about being great at what you do , and talent.
They were basically saying that no one really has talent.
Maybe we just have better ability to put purselves through certain process, but, as they put it, targeted talents just don't exist.
All it takes is a LOT of work.
Hard and Smart work to become great.
That actually inspired me.
I used to be the kid who couldn't draw.
I started doing stick figures when I was in six grade, and would tell stories like that.
I figured that if I wanted to do stuff like Gaston, Asterix, or spiderman, I'd better learn how to draw.
And I pushed myself.
I guess I got somewhere...
Lately. I have been feeling as if I wasn't going anywhere anymore.
Now, I'm actually happy to learn again!
Anyone ever feel that?
ok.. that was my tuesday philosophical spiel..
Let's not make it a habit

monday sketch
this is a sketch I did for the intro page of the story for Flight.
and the other one, the guy hopping on the planet is for my fried Kevin,Ang, who's taking off for a loooooooooooooong ass trip to Asia.
I'll miss you kev!
Have fun.
On a different note, I went diving( Kat and I are gettinng certified) ,..and, GOD...am I whipped today.
I feel like there' s so much stuff going on in my life right now, thatit becomes harder to focus on art and work.
Anybody ever have that feeling?
When I sit down to draw, now, it's like a new experience each time.
I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but it's definitely interesting.
The whole whirlwind should slow down in a bit, and I'll be able to focus again.. meanwhile.....
wow.. what a ride!

the grim reaper
That was a theme for this week's drawer geeks.
for some reason, I wasn't at all inspired to do a walking skeleton.
The deadline came, and i just popped this one out of my head..
interesting take on it, that's what I thought!
anyhow....
a modern version of the grim reaper, based on Marvel's pretty popular character(that's for Mike by the way!)
and another one , done for a friend of mine who's very much into the last unicorn!
There you go stephanie... I was wondering where that last one went...

busy busy busy
Yup...the title says it all.
BUT, to explain...
It's not just WORK busy( allthough there is a lot of that!)
I'm just really having a full life these days, and, god, that feels good!
The proportion of work and fun are still off though, way too much work than fun, but the fun I have, thanks to my dear fiance, is just incredible.
The reason why I'm mentioning this, is simply because I'll be slowing the posts a bit for a little while, and might be putting up some older work, or different work , or, heck, even talk about some friends!
This piece here, is a concept I did for work actually( yup, for all of you guys who thought I didn't work!)
I liked it..and I haven't any new stuff to show...therefore...here it is!
