Sometimes, I just wish I could freeze one frame of a moment in live in it for a little bit. Sometime it’s family time, sometimes it’s doing a good drawing or just a reflection in a window.. all those “freeze frames” happen everywhere, all the time. I’m always on the lookout for them.

It just popped up on my feed and I was thinking how much my style has changes. Not as much the storytelling, although my themes are slightly different now, but just the look of the image..it’s changed so much!

Simple one.. I like simple..forces you to look at the basics like storytelling, composition, color, space, mood.
It’s not flashy, but, I tend to think of drawing basics as the pasta that is served with the spaghetti sauce. If you JUST have the pasta( basics) without the sauce, it’s still a nutritious meal.. the sauce makes it more appealing... but if you were to have JUST the sauce without the pasta, you wouldn’t want to eat that for very long. 
I know it’s kind of a weird analogy, but It works for me.. makes me work on the basics all the time.
