Old stuff

HA!
I was looking for some reference material for a new project I'll be working on soon, and I came across a bunch of old designs I did for some games I was working on.
Since some of them are already out and others have never made it passed the conception stage, I can now show some of these.
I had SO much fun doing these, and boy, do I have a ton of them

I'm still super duper busy all around these days. I love it because of the cool jobs I get to work on, and the my "personal" work is taking a side step right now. But it will only be better when I get back to it. I can't wait to get back to it though!

Egg Hunt

Hello Everybody. Hope you all had a great weekend. We saw Super Bad this weekend at the movies, and, wow, it was so funny. very much in the vein of knocked up, but cruder.
A good movie if you want a good laugh.

Here's a piece I did based on the theme of dragons, for one of the phenomenal Bobby Chiu's books. I like it, but I'm not sure how well it would fit in the book. I might do a few to try out. So, there might be more dragon stuff coming up, who knows?

Friday's witch

Oh well, I really liked that little witch idea, so I did another sketch on that theme.

Also, Kat and I watched the odd couple last night, with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau.
What a GREAT movie! I was trying to think about what made those movies so great, the ones from the late fifties to the late sixties. There's definitely another level of acting that we don't get nowadays, it's slower and has so much more character than a lot of movies nowadays( I'm not saying today's movies are not good, mind you, I love movies from all times and eras).
Plus, the wide screen helps a lot too. The staging was so much different, and in a lot of images, I had the impression of seeing a Norman Rockwell painting because of the way the light worked, the arrangements of the room, the way the people talk, and, the profuse amount of sweat that you see!(^_^)
Anyhow, a great movie.

The trip

Still super busy. I can't complain. For a freelancer, being this busy is heaven. I think I'm still trying to learn how to handle it all, but, wow, it's a lot of work.
Which, sometimes makes me want to be somewhere else....Hence, this image.

Getting there

It seems harder and harder these days to manage it all. Work, life, rest, exercise, etc etc..
I might actually have to stop altogether sketches of the day, and just consider them sketches...once in a while. I do draw for work a lot though... hmmm...
Oh well.
It's a beautiful day out there.

Couple of old drawings

..They were done for a project that hasn't gotten anyhwere( or at least, not yet!!)
It's funny how many of those there are. I thought these were actually fun drawings, and since I'm back in that over worked mode, I won't have time for many new sketches of the day until the end of August. Possibly for a longer period than that, but definitely until then.( I think my latest sketch already show that I was really winging it anyhow)

But, as I've said before, it's all good, since the projects on doing are fun and a great learning experience!

I'm just testing out some new "things" here, as for as workflow goes.
Still WAYYYYYYY too busy to do a full sketch, but, these doodles are fun. Plus, the project I am working on right now is so fun, and I'm learning so much, that I can't wait to put it to use in my own stuff!

Easy like a Sunday Afternoon

Yesterday was ...Get up, read Harry Potter, go to brunch, go to the park and read HArry Potter, have dinner, finish harry potter, go to bed...
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I LOVE Sundays!
And, by the way, the latest and last Harry Potter is by far my FAVORITE! It is SO SO good.

Mondays

It's been almost a week since I've updated this blog. It feels like forever to me.
I've actually been busy on some very cool projects, but, unfortunately, I am not allowed to say what it is or show any images for a while. Still, as soon as it is public, I'll make sure to fill you guys in.
In the meantime, have a GREAT Monday everybody.
Ho..and, have you guys seen the Simpson's movie? I just saw it and I really liked it a lot. The amount of jokes and gags per minute is insane. The story is so straightforward that it acts only as a string to hold the "world" together. Homer and the family are such incredible characters. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh, and likes the simpsons!
