Feliz Navidad

A few weeks ago, Katrina and I went to a game night where we sung FELIZ NAVIDAD quite a bit.
It beacme a little running joke with her and me and our friends.
I was thinking it would be nice to have a little animation of it!
Since I already did a Xmas card this year,I didn't want to spend too much time on this one, and tried to aproache it as an exercice in minimal animation.
I think it's still pretty fun..and, honestly, you can't go wrong with that song!

I saw your cards posted on the BlueSky blog and have been having so much fun going through your work on your site. I've got to admit, your 'Door' animation is my favorite thus far... so creative what you can do with just a few shapes.

Are you just doing these frame by frame in flash? I'm quite interested in your process and am even more inspired to do some lil animations myself. Also, what are you doing your sketches in, flash as well? Normally I'd guess PS, but it has that same gritty aesthetic that your animations hold.

Great great work mate. I'll be looking forward to your future posts.

Ok, I'm sold that your sketches are PS, however I'm still unclear about your animations. I'd really like some background info on ya... I've already been whorin' out your links to people/forums and I'd like to be able to act as if I know something about you as well. :)

  12. Hey Guys..
    thank you!

    Hey, Imintricate,

Sorry, but the sketches are Flash.
    98 percent of them.
Some are justpencil and paper, and a very few of them are in Photoshop.
I'm just not that good at Photoshop, or at least, not as fast as in flash.

All the animations are done in flash as well.

Hah! Should've just listened to the gut...

Oh and your tree sketch is one of most favorite and inspiring. I needed to put it as my bg so it can re-inspire me daily. However it looked a bit awkward just sitting in the middle, so I kind of tweaked it (elaborated upon it) to make it fit. I hope you don't mind - its only purpose is to grace my desktop. If you have any qualms with it, I'll have no problems deleting it from existence.

    Tweaked version:

Thanks for clearing up which software is used.

Be careful, "year" in Spanish is "año"
You wrote "ano" what means "anus" :)
