It's another test... both a test in technique as well as in something I am really not good at which is water.. I know I draw a lot of water and sometimes it looks ok..but I am never quite satisfied with it so ..I'll keep trying. Anyhow..have a great evening.

Till the break of day. #pascalcampionart. I just found this image I did a few months ago.. but never posted. I was trying to go for colors that make a mute sound to my ears.. I know it's a weird thing to say, but colors tend to resonate with me like notes of music... I think that's why I tend to do images that reflect my emotional state actually. For this one, I was trying to go for for something different than usual, but didn't like the outcome..no matter what I tried. Now, though, after a few months...I don't necessarily see it as such a bad attempt.. I actually see what I was trying to do... seeing this one again will probably help me try again at some point with a better frame of mind. Long day at the office.

Long day at the office. #pascalcampionart. Ok.. this one, I've been wanting to do for a long time..maybe I didn't have exactly this composition in mind, or the details, but I have had this idea for at least a year and a half. It comes from when I bike back home in the evening and the sun is already down , I ride by this business complex that is made of glass. When it's dark and the offices inside are still lit up, it gives me the impression there are little cubicles of light floating up there, in the air. It's beautiful and eerie at the same time. I don't know if I've captured it the way I really wanted, but it's a first try.

Max and the Dinosaur. #pascalcampionart. I asked my kids what they would like me to draw this week.For the rest of the week, it will mainly be firetrucks, princesses and dinosaurs. This one is for Max who LOVES LOVES LOVES dinosaurs and wanted me to draw a boy walking through a city on a Dinosaur's head. It helps that he loved Danny and the Dinosaur, by Sid Hoff.

New Friends.

New Friends. #pascalcampionart. Ok..I know this one is very different... not just in the style but the idea as well.... To be honest, I didn't even know i could "think" this way and sustain doing a piece like this. IT is incredibly fun to explore different things, but what I found that's even better is that when I go back to images that are more in my "world"..my understanding of them, of how to do them, how to control the different elements is so much better. I think what happens is that all of a sudden, I've expanded the ceiling of that world I draw so often, and I have a better vintage point in a sort of funny way that makes me see the whole a lot better. In any case... it's fun.
