The totoro project

A few years ago I was invited to participate in a charity show on the theme of totoro.
The proceeds of the show would serve to buy and save a portion of the forest on which the movie was based.
It was quite an extraordinary event because SO many incredibly talented artist from all over the world participated!

Snow Day

This is based on a memory of when I was in college.
I had this really narrow apartment and one winter, we had a snow storm that cut off our power .
I remember sitting in the kitchen and just watching the snow falling outside..it was really peaceful.
I love those little moments in time when everything seems to have stopped, like in the middle of the night when you are awake and feel you're the only one who is!

This is another animation I did a while back.
I started that one while I was on the phone with my girlfriend. It was a really long call.
When I got off the phone, I saw that I had actually doodled something fun, and spent the whole night and parts of the next week finishing it off.

I did the color later, but the bulk of it, was just out of that phone call.
