Ghostbot

This is the very first time I do this but, I felt I had to.
Many of you know of the Ghostbot guys, but a lot more actually don't.
These guys, Alan , Roque , Brad and Corrine, are the most brilliant flash animators I have had the honor to meet( they literally work five blocks away from where I live!)

Not ony are they the nicest people in the world, their work ethics are just formidable, and theirwork for the Esurance commercials is ground breaking in terms of flash animation for tv spots.

But, enough said.

Who let the pumkin's out?

This one is HArry Potter meets Konami and the world of sidescroller video games!
That's the theme for Drawer geeks next week, and , since I didn't particularly wanted to do a flying broomstick, I'd figure i'd have some fun with it.
So...

on a side note.
This is the last drawing untill I come back from my trip.

one thursday morning

pulling some really late nights these days...i'm super sleepy sleepy sleepy right now...
oh boy.. anyhow..
for a change, this is all photoshop( and a pencil drawing below... believe it or not, i drew out the whole jungle below.. you just can't see the details!!)

after I'm done on the current projects i'm working on right now, I'll be diving into this fun wolrd.

It's a great day

Not because it's monday though.
That kinda sucks actually.
BUT..
allthough this sketch might not be that exciting, it's neverthelles a bench mark fro me.
It's the 400th sketch in my" sketch of the day" practice!
YAHOO.

I started this in june of last year, and have tried to be fairly consistent.
Sometimes doing more than one or two a day, sometimes less.
And, now, I've hit four hundred.
so..

Im happy.

the kodak moment

When I was little, there used to be a series of commercials featuring three little kids wearing some stripped red and white bathing suits that would be going from one world to another in a click of an instant( the kodak instant).
I'm not sure why I thought of those this morning.. but.
it made for a nice simple drawing!

This one will do though!

Mister Monster, are you Here?

This is an old one from my sketchbook.
But I thoughtit was a nice one.
I usually don't go through my sketchbooks at all, but I just did last night , and found some pretty funny ones.

DO you guys ever have that thing where you remember the day you did the actual drawing?
I seemed to remember every day on a whole section of my sketchbook.
it's very interesting.

a dream that may come true

In a few weeks, Katrina and I are joining the rest of my family to go to St Thomas,, in the virgin Islands for a week.
We're going there on a family matter type of trip, but we're also planning on enjoying it a lot!

I did a little research on vikings for a new theme coming up at drawer geeks, and discovered that they were actually a bunch of jolly good fellows who liked bards flowers, and dancing, among the other usual looting, pillaging and burning..
Charming.

these curious little elephants are back at it again it seems. for this one, I tried a different way of coloring.. I did a sketch on paper, and colored in photoshop using different overlay and multiply layers. I'm only partial to the results, but, it's an interesting attempt.
